Prayer

“The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.”
F.B. Meyer

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.”
Oswald Chambers

“More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”
Alfred Lord Tennyson

“It is the habit of faith, when she is praying, to use pleas. Mere prayer sayers, who do not pray at all, forget to argue with God; but those who prevail bring forth their reasons and their strong arguments”
Charles H. Spurgeon

“God does nothing but by prayer, and everything with it.”
John Wesley

At St G’s we are trying to ground everything we do in prayer and worship.

We gather before the morning service to pray for that morning and we have a weekly prayer meeting on Thursday at 8pm, usually at the vicarage.

The meeting usually lasts for about an hour and a half as we share, pray and listen to what God is saying for each other and for our church.

In the summer we ran HTB’s Prayer Course and will repeat this annually.

Everyone is welcome!
